Don't Fear the Future

Colossians 2:6-7
"walk in Him"

where are you heading?
- aimless
- short-term
- side-tracked
- wrong-tracked
- purpose

your direction now determines your destination later
- the habits you begin now matter
- the choices you make now matter
- the character you build now matters
- the relationships you invest in now matter

this could be overwhelming
OH NO!
- fearful inability and indecision
FEARLESS
- wise boldness to move with God

PSALM 90:2, 12-17
the everlasting God has not left us alone to figure it out by ourselves

1. TEACH US (vs 12)
- aware of each moment
- intent of cultivating a heart of wisdom (will serve us now and in the future)

2. BE SATISFIED
- His presence in our life is available
- now before we get older
- the foundation for everything else

3. MOVE
- when His life is revealed in us we can be sure of our purpose and choices
- our work can be confirmed (affirmed)
- freedom from worry, excitement about the future
