Possible
Review: Romans 6:8-14
New Life > New Master
New Master > New Purpose
New Purpose > New Choices
New Choices > New Outcomes
New Outcomes > New Life
Beginning: John 3:1-4
We often talk about what we are going to do in the future
How much time to we take to consider who we are going to be?
The Who is more important than the What
The Who is the Axis around which the What in our lives is determined
Nicodemus was defined by what he did, comfortable life as a Pharisee in a religious community
Initially asked to be identified with Jesus
Jesus said he needed to be Born Again - to be made new, rethink everything
The last thing we hear is "How can this be" (vs 15) Who would start over and change everything?
Possible: John 7:37-53
What Jesus had said made an impact on Nicodemus
It would have been easy to just let it go and let the misunderstanding happen
only people who are invested "stick their neck out"
From hiding to defending Jesus - no longer a sceptic
Movement: John 19:38-42
No more secrets - the men who were ashamed are now publicly identifying with Jesus
There is a New Axis - New Life - Who they are has shifted and now What they do is different
Did it together - great ministry of the Church
The cost is great but worth it
