Rebellion - a dissatisfaction with Authority

A hardened heart brings a cycle of Darkness leading you to get angrier and more defiant - that makes you all the more emboldened to feel justified in your Rebellion.

What usually happens to the Rebellion?
- it gets CRUSHED!

GOD’S RESPONSE

PURSUIT
- we could not mend the rift caused by our Rebellion
- He moved towards us in Christ
- Any attempt of our to surrender is bathed in the reality of God’s love for us while we were still sinners
- It is God’s love that overcomes our rebellion

DIFFERENT
- our love is temporary, changing, ______________
- God’s love is sacrificial, difficult*, perfect

DEMONSTRATED
- not just empty words
- the Cross
