Delight
What happens when you meditate on the Word of God?
The person who meditates on the Word finds themselves looking at Christ, seeing and then delighting in Him.
Psalm 29:9 - the voice of the Lord strips the forest bare
Isaiah 66:2 - this is the one to whom I look…
John 6:68 - to whom shall we go? You have the Words of Life
Hebrews 4:12 - the word pierces
Yes the Word pierces but it is pleasant in the end
Meditate, listen, receive, respond, follow
And as we fill our lives with the Word, the Lord changes our Hearts
The cancer is cut out, the poison is removed, the sin is less attractive
Because Jesus becomes more attractive
Begins at the Cross
Everything pointed forward to it
Passover - a picture of salvation, foreshadowing Christ's sacrifice
For them it was a God who promised salvation
For us it is a God who provided salvation
New life begins at the Cross
Salvation - He died for us
Transformation - How do I change this? You died, your life, your desires/delights align with Christ
Colossinas 3:3: “Rid me of myself”
Meditate on the Word, take the Hit, find encouragement, see Jesus
