do you want darkness or light?
darkness: guilt, shame, secrets, pride, selfish, evil, self-sufficiency

Jesus is the Light, not religion, good works

John 1:4-5: “the darkness has not understood it”
there are two foundation, two worldviews, they are opposed to one another

avoid the deception of neutral paths - whatever you do, follow Jesus, walk in the light, do everything aware of his presence

Jesus’ desire is that we would have life - follow me - an invitation to Him - to walk in darkness is to reject Jesus - people are addicted to denial and illusion

exposure is painful yet freeing

Why is the darkness not good? Why aren’t we left in darkness?

Do not choose darkness (life apart from Christ) as a response to darkness
